Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Should I not inform you of something by which you can catch up to those who have preceded you and be ahead of those after you--and none will be better than you unless they do as you do?" They said: "Do tell us, O Messenger of Allah!" He said, "Make glorify, exalt, and praise Allah 33 times each after each obligatory prayer." [Bukhari and Muslim, as part of a longer hadith.
