The Virtues of Remembrance after the Obligatory Prayer

Understanding Virtue through the Prophetic Teachings (Lesson Twenty-seven): In this lecture, Shaykh Faraz discusses the virtues of Remembrance after the Obligatory Prayer. Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Should I not inform you of something by which you can catch up to those who have preceded you and be ahead of those after you--and none will be better than you unless they do as you do?" They said: "Do tell us, O Messenger of Allah!" He said, "Make glorify, exalt, and praise Allah 33 times each after each obligatory prayer." [Bukhari and Muslim, as part of a longer hadith. This entails saying: Subhan Allah ('Glory be to Allah' 33 times), Alhamdulillah ('All praise is due to Allah' 33 times), and Allahu Akbar ('Glory be to Allah' 33 times).
